Metaphor: ReFantazio

Metaphor: ReFantazio is a landmark JRPG from Atlus and Studio Zero — the creative team behind Persona 3, 4, and 5 — and arguably the most ambitious project they have ever undertaken. Set in a sprawling fantasy kingdom filled with eight distinct races, political intrigue, and an ancient prophecy, Metaphor tells the story of a young hero racing to save a cursed prince and claim the throne through a royal tournament. The game combines Persona's beloved social simulation mechanics with a fresh real-time combat system that allows players to switch between action and turn-based fighting on the fly. Directed by Katsura Hashino and featuring the gorgeous art of Shigenori Soejima and iconic music from Shoji Meguro, Metaphor: ReFantazio is a masterpiece that won multiple Game of the Year awards for 2024.
