What is MedGarGaming?
MedGarGaming is a gaming and anime community platform where you can discover games and anime, track what you've played or watched, read news and articles, join forum discussions, and connect with other fans.
Is MedGarGaming free to use?
Yes — MedGarGaming is completely free. Creating an account, browsing content, tracking your lists, and participating in the forum all cost nothing.
How do I create an account?
Click Register in the top navigation bar and fill in your username, email, and password. Once registered you can immediately start tracking games, anime, and joining discussions.
How do I track games or anime?
Visit any game or anime page and use the status buttons (Playing / Completed / Plan to Play, etc.) to add it to your list. You can also give it a score out of 20. Your list is visible on your public profile by default.
Can I make my list private?
Yes. On your profile page, switch to the Anime or Games tab and click the Public / Private toggle on the right side of the tab bar. Private lists are only visible to you.
What is the community score?
The community score is the average rating given by MedGarGaming members on a scale of 1–20. It's shown alongside third-party scores like Metacritic (games) and MAL Score (anime).
How does the comparison tool work?
Go to the Compare page (or click the Compare button on any game or anime page). Search for two titles and click Compare. The tool shows a side-by-side stat breakdown and highlights the winner in each category.
Who can write articles?
At the moment, articles and news posts are written by MedGarGaming staff and moderators. Community discussion happens in the forum. If you're interested in contributing, reach out via the contact email below.
How do forum threads work?
Browse the Forum page, pick a category (e.g. Game Discussion, Anime Talk), and click New Thread. You can like replies and the thread author is shown with their avatar and reputation.
What is reputation?
Reputation is a score that reflects your activity and contributions on the platform — writing articles, receiving likes on comments and replies, and other community actions all earn reputation points.
How do I turn off email notifications?
Go to Settings → Notifications and toggle off Email notifications. You will still receive in-app notifications in the bell menu.
Can I follow other users?
Yes. Visit any user's profile page and click the Follow button. You'll receive a notification when they post new content, and they'll be notified that you followed them.
