DayZ is Bohemia Interactive's brutal open-world survival game — the title that originated the entire survival genre as we know it, spawning dozens of imitators that followed in its footsteps. Set in the massive post-Soviet landscape of Chernarus — a fictional Eastern European country overtaken by a zombie apocalypse — players spawn with virtually nothing and must scavenge through abandoned buildings, military bases, and farms for food, water, weapons, and medicine.
