Avowed is Obsidian Entertainment's first-person RPG set in Eora — the world of Pillars of Eternity — that fulfills the studio's promise of bringing the depth of their beloved CRPG storytelling to an immersive first-person action RPG format. Playing as an envoy of the Aedyr Empire sent to investigate a mysterious plague corrupting the Living Lands, players wield a combination of swords, pistols, and powerful soul-based magic in fluid first-person combat while navigating morally complex political conflicts between colonists, indigenous people, and ancient forces. Obsidian's signature strength — writing companions with genuine depth, creating quests with meaningful consequences, and building reactive worlds that remember your choices — is fully on display.
