Asobi Asobase

Hanako is a student who joined the soft tennis club hoping to live the life of a sociable and trendy high school girl. Unfortunately for her, because of her talent for the sport, she has to participate in tournaments and therefore misses outings organized by her classmates.

Her new friend, Olivia, is an American who grew up in Japan and doesn't speak her native language at all. She takes advantage of being new to the school to pretend (just for fun) that she has trouble with Japanese. However, her little game will one day get her into trouble when Kasumi, a classmate, offers to teach her new games in exchange for English lessons.

With facial expressions so exaggerated they have become legendary among anime fans and a sense of humor that catches you completely off guard, Asobi Asobase is one of the funniest and most infectiously entertaining comedy anime ever made — proof that sometimes the simplest premise in the world can produce the most explosive laughs.
