86 Eighty-Six

San Magnolia always says that no one dies in its war against the Giadian Empire. No one gets hurt, no one mourns the death of any of its soldiers. This lie is so simple and so perfect to believe that nearly all eighty-five counties in the Republic that have been established for years, with men and women over fifty years old residing in its districts, are firm believers in that same story.

The real war is fought on land the Republic claims does not exist. It is there that all the "imperfected" people are taken to internment camps, stripped of all rights and forced to fly fighter planes against the Empire's terrifyingly powerful mechanical army, the Legion.

The Eighty-Six are not part of normal society. They are seen neither as soldiers nor as citizens, and treated as non-beings by the government that condemns them to die.

Vladilena Milizé is a young officer in the Republican Army who does not hide her feelings. She is the Handler for the Spearhead Squadron, and the only one within her unit who has any regard for the Eighty-Six.

The Commanding Officer of Spearhead is Shinei Nouzen — the only surviving member of every unit he has ever been assigned to. He carries the names of all his fallen comrades like a weight he chose and will never put down.

Rumore are saying Season 2 is being in production, but nothing official has been announced yet, and we don't have a release date on march 2026.
